2022's Scotland Trip

29/06/2022

Today, as usual, we met at Gallery 48 at 10:00 am. After we had some coffees we got into the car to star our trip to different towns close to Dundee. We use a triptych as a map to get there.

The first town we went by was Perth, but we got out of the car for the first time in Crieff. We bought water and some things we needed at a charity shop. We walked a little bit more and made too many photos.

Our next destination was Loch Earn, we ate there looking at incredible views. But at some point the weather changed and we had to run to get inside the car.

INTERESTING FACT: IN SCOTLAND YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR DOOR, BECAUSE CARS NEVER SLOW DOWN.

Finally we finished our trip in Loch Tay with better weather. We would have liked to go canoeing but we had to get home before it got dark.

It was a long way back, so we put some music and we sang together. When arrived in Dundee, Gavin dropped us off at our houses.

2022's Scotland Trip

 28/6/2022

We met at Gallery 48 as usual, and after a few coffees and a short talk we went to DUSA (Dundee University Students Association) the place where the Scottish students can go to have a break from their classes.

At DUSA, we planned some activities for the following weeks. Outdoor activities as well as indoor ones just to be prepared for the changing weather.

Because the weather was rainy and cloudy, we decided to go to the rockodrome.
Hugo and Ana had to go home to pick up an insulin pen and to change to sport clothes. Amazingly they managed to arrive on time even when no one was trusting they will do it.

It was pretty fun to climb the difficult walls although our arms were exhausted at the end.
After Rock climbing we all walked home with our nice host families.

2022's Scotland Trip

27/06/2022

Today was our first class day. We started the day walking to Gallery 48 the café where we're going to meet everyday. Personally, I went with Mangel and he showed me some interesting places like shops, restaurants...

We met at
Gallery 48 to wait for the rest of the group. When we were all at the café, we went to university to leave our bags. Then, María showed us the facilities like tennis courts, swimming pool, etc.

After that, we made a test to look at how good our English was. Everybody got a great mark so we were very happy.

We discovered that we had a pool table to play during our breaks. So we are getting used to play pool.

Finally, Mangel showed us around Dundee and its monuments. We were amazed because they were very beautiful. In addition, he told us that all the shops here close at 5pm, so we needed to be in a hurry if we wanted to buy something.

2022's Scotland Trip

26/06/2022

On the 26/06/2022, it was the day we travelled to Scotland. We met at the airport at 2 o'clock and we checked in. We said goodbye to our families and we entered the security control. It was fine until the custom's officers rejected our passport due to the lack of a permission from our parents.

IMPORTANT INFO FOR PARENTS WITH UNDERAGE CHILDREN (EVEN THOUGH EASYJET SAYS 16 YEARS OLD IS AN ADULT): Don't forget to sign the permission to leave Spain in a Nacional Police Station.

After we got the permissions, we crossed the customs successfully but 3 minutes before the plane closes his doors. Fortunately, the plane was delayed so we had enough time to reach it.

We arrived in Edinburgh at half past six. And we had to wait few minutes for the cars. We put our luggage into the back of the car and we left for Dundee. The host families were waiting for us in a parking to take us to our homes.

It was a very long day and we were all very tired. We were scared since Scottish have dinner much earlier than we do but they waited to have dinner. Most of us went to bed earlier than usual.

Next day, we met in a café to plan the day. This café was set as our "meet place". Some of us arrived late because it was the first day and probably we took the longer route because we still knowing the city.

A hard day at the office
