Scottish food
Scotland has a very rich gastronomy and their traditional food a lot of history. It is very famous for the
Scottish breakfast and here are some popular traditional dishes such as:
Black Pudding: It’s made out of pork blood, suet, oats and spices and is typically eaten in
Scottish breakfast. In my opinion this is very tasty and it reminds me of “morcilla” a typical food in
Spain.
Haggis: Is a savoury pudding made from sheep’s offal (heart, liver and lungs), mixed with onions,
oatmeal, suet, spices and seasoning. IMO haggis is very good and it reminds me a little bit of
“pate” or “fuá”.
Hash brown: This is a fried food made out of potatoes, onion, spices and garlic. It’s an essential
thing to have in a Scottish breakfast
Another very famous dish in Scotland to eat is fish and chips which you can mix with vinegar.
This is fried fish ( Cod or Haddock) with flour and beer and fried potatoes and is simple but very nice.
